Cheng,
Clint, Roger, Andy T, John Suckling and newcomer Martin,
also in Taydec made it to Anglesey. We joined forces with
the kitcars again and had 2 good races. Clint easily won
in the wet on Saturday and Cheng took honours after a close
race with Andrew Hiley's Taydec on Sunday.
After
running mid-field in the first race, Andy came 3rd overall
on Sunday, beating Clint and setting a blinding 1'15.7",
3rd fastest lap. Roger had a weekend to forget, retiring
from both races on the first lap. On Saturday he was tipped
into a spin and then collected by Clint, and on Sunday his
fuel pump expired on the first corner. Such a shame as the
result would probably have been very different had he been
racing.
Martin's
Taydec, on its first run in the wet, looked extremely nervous
and gave Martin a hard time, but he managed to find 10 seconds
between practice and race. John also struggled in the wet,
but both Taydecs looked much more settled on Sunday. It
was very nice to have 2 out; we hope to see more of them
both. Sadly, the rain prevented the anticipated Saturday
barbecue, but we hope for a good turnout and better weather
at Brands.
